Frequently Asked Questions
What are some advantages of paper flowers over fresh?
There are a few distinct advantages paper has over fresh!
Lasts for years!
Does PaperHeartBlooms deliver nationally? Internationally?
Yes! I ship all over the US and can ship internationally as well! These flowers are hardy little things and have made it across the pond for a wedding in an Irish castle, as well as down to the Caribbean for a sunny beach wedding.
How is PaperHeartBlooms different from traditional florists?
PaperHeartBlooms differs foremost in that I do not use fresh flowers or greenery. All blooms are carefully hand-crafted from a variety of paper mediums by me, and each are unique pieces of art. I've also been known to create flowers from other materials such as tulle or felt.
How do I care for my paper flowers?
These sweet little blooms are hardy and low maintenance. My recommendations are to keep them away from direct sunlight and areas with high moisture.
I'm getting married outdoors- How do these flowers fair in rain or snow?
This is certainly the most popular question I get from potential brides. At the beginning of most of these flower's lives, they're dyed, so they've been wet before and can handle a little bit of precipitation. What I tell my brides is that if it's raining (or snowing!) too much for you to be out in it, it's too much for the flowers to be out in the elements.
If it's misting rain, the flowers will be fine. Just be sure to place them in a vase and not on their side or else they'll dry with a flat side.
How long does it take to make arrangements?
Each arrangement is different, and so are production times. I typically request a 4-week minimum lead time for bridal bouquet recreations; 3- month lead time for weddings; and other arrangements are decided on a case by case basis.
Can I Request a Custom Order?
Absolutely! Don't see what you're looking for in the shop? Not a problem- I'm happy to work with you to create the perfect arrangement.
